Scouting embodies adventure, family, fun, character, leadership, and a many other invaluable attributes.

In the world of Scouting, young individuals, both boys and girls, embark on a journey where they focus on becoming their optimal present selves, while also nurturing the qualities essential for their successful future selves. The engaging, practical approach to learning and accomplishment in Scouting allows children to actively partake in experiences that shape their character and readiness for the present day challenges as well as the challenges that lie ahead in their journey through life.

Scout Oath: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Scout Mission: The mission of the Scouts BSA Program is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

The Foundation of Scouting

We are part of the Istrouma Area Council of the Scouts BSA Program. The Istrouma Area Council covers the Baton Rouge region for scouting related activities.

We are hosted by our charter organization, St. Jude Catholic Church, located in Baton Rouge, LA. We hope you and your children will be life long scouters and scouts.
