St. Jude Catholic Church, our charter organization, requires that any parent participating in a scouting event complete the required diocesan training.
Steps to complete this requirement:
Go to the Diocesan website https://diobr.safeenvironment.org
Under Is this your first time here, click on Create New User Account.

The code may produce an error if you copy and paste. Please type it in.
The Primary Institution you will choose is: Baton Rouge – St Jude the Apostle 3942
The Primary Position you will choose is: Parish Volunteer
Fill out all information completely.
Take the video training, Serving Vulnerable Populations and Code of Ethics. Once completed with the training, your certificate of completion will be emailed to Michelle Thompson, mzerin3@bellsouth.net.
You must complete the prompt to initiate the ISP Background Check.
Initial each declaration by hand on the declarations page (<—click to download), sign by hand, date and return along with a copy of your driver’s license or government issued ID to Michelle Thompson, mzerin3@bellsouth.net.
* If you are already child protected for another location, such as St. Jude School, you must sign the CAPS Profile Authorization Form and submit a copy of your driver’s license or government issued ID before you can be added to the Church’s database. Send those documents to mzerin3@bellsouth.net.
