St. Jude Catholic Church, our charter organization, requires that any parent participating in a scouting event complete the required diocesan training.

Are you already youth protected with a Catholic Organization?

1. YES - If you ARE already protected with a Catholic Organization: 

Submit the following to beau@brscouts.org:

  1. Signed CAPS Profile Authorization Form (page two of YPT How To Guide)

  2. Copy of your driver’s license or government issued ID

    NOTE: St. Jude School ≠ St. Jude Church. You must do this even if you are youth protected with St. Jude School. 

    2. NO - If you are NOT already protected with a Catholic Organization:

    1. Visit this link: https://diobr.safeenvironment.org 

    2. Click on Create New User Account under Is this your first time here section. 

    3. You will put in the following code: x8qk,9(E@GZy 
      The code can not be copied and pasted or you may get an error. Please type it in.

    4. The Primary Institution you will choose is: Baton Rouge – St Jude the Apostle 3942

    5. The Primary Position you will choose is: Parish Volunteer

    6. Fill out all information completely.

    7. You will take the video training, Serving Vulnerable Populations and Code of Ethics. 

    8. You must complete the prompt to initiate the ISP Background Check.

    9. Separate from the steps above: Initial each declaration on the attached declarations page (this is the last page of the attached YPT How To Guide), sign, date and return along with a copy of your driver’s license or government issued ID. Send these documents to beau@brscouts.org.
