Scouts and registered adults can earn the Snorkeling Award! We will learn about how to clear masks underwater, entering water while wearing fins, the displacement method of clearing a snorkel, the water buddy system, dive signals, the effect of water on sight and sound, the need to equalize pressure, and more. Seven Seas has a heated indoor pool we will use to practice and demonstrate our skills!

The event is April 17th from 4:30-8pm at Seven Seas.
Scouts will need to provide their own mask, snorkel and fins. Gear may be purchased from any source, but if interested, Kelly at Seven Seas can help find and fit snorkeling gear. The Scouting America swim test will be administered as part of the course. Wear scouting appropriate swimwear (modest, functional and secure).
